My Journey
Aftab Ahmad is the Founder and CEO of AssortTech, one of Pakistan’s leading tech company. His journey is a testament to resilience, vision, and innovation. Born into a middle-class family, Aftab’s father worked as a woodcutter to support his family in the scenic town of Balakot. After the devastating earthquake of 2005, Aftab and his family were forced to relocate to Lahore, where he pursued education and sought a brighter future.
Securing a need-based scholarship, Aftab completed his graduation in Computer Science. Motivated by the responsibility to repay a committed loan and driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, he founded Tech company AssortTech during his third semester. With just a single chair and zero investment, he turned his vision into reality. Today, AssortTech has over hundreds of professionals and has established itself as a pioneer in showcasing Pakistan’s tech talent on the global stage.
The company has successfully delivered 100+ projects worldwide across various sectors, including education, social media, entertainment, agriculture, travel, food & hospitality, and fintech, empowering businesses to digitize and excel.
Community Impact and Vision
Aftab remains deeply committed to giving back to the community. Acknowledging the struggles faced by underprivileged youth, he actively supports orphan graduates in tech education at Government College Balakot, an initiative that started in his own community. This program opens doors for young talent to thrive in the tech industry.
